Don’t ever let anyone tell you what’s best for YOUR life. I had countless people tell me I was crazy and how this wouldn’t work when I first started. People told me out of “their best interest” that I should play it safe and not quit my job to train dogs full time. “What happens if you get hurt?” “What are you going to do if it gets slow?” “What will you do about insurance and health care?” Tons of questions that never pushed me to chase my dream but really made me question if I should be or not. Listen. If someone doesn’t have everything in life you want. Stop taking their advice! Read that again. They love you and they mean well but if you’ve got it in you, you know it. They might not see it now but hear me when I say they will be there cheering you on once you prove to them that you can do it. If you’ve got a dream, get out there and chase it. My generation was taught to go to school, get good grades, go to college and you will get a good job. NEWSFLASH! That’s not reality. There’s a lot of people going to school and ending up without a job afterwards, however they’ve still got a pile of debt to pay back but now with no job. There are certainly fields where that’s not the case but many more where it is. Even if you do get a job it is likely you have a lot of debt to pay back. I’m not advocating not going to school but I am trying to help people see that you can learn a skill/trade or pursue a passion/hobby and make it generate revenue for you. It could be something you start on the side or something you dive into head first. For the first time in history, you can literally start a business from your cell phone, no overhead, no employees, no degree, nothing. Just the dream that God has planted in your mind and heart. That’s all you need. I hope this inspires you to start something new, today. Something that changes your life forever because you made a decision. You can do it, I believe in you! 🐶

**Gun dog training is done with both bumpers and birds. We also offer our clients the opportunity to come out and hunt with us in dove/duck season for a session to work with your dog! This is at no additional cost for a dog currently in our training programs**

Dog boarding with watercross kennels is like a vacation for your four-legged friend. We provide a safe, fun environment for group play, while also offering all dogs their own room for privacy, comfort and a little “me time.” There are three types of rooms available, each with natural lighting and tempered back stalls to give your pet the utmost care and security.
With pet sitting, your dog may only get one or two visits per day. Watercross kennels , on the other hand, is fully staffed 24 hours a day, so pets get the attention and care they truly need. We know you’re the best caregiver for your companion, but we like to be the best while you’re away—because we love dogs.
Watercross kennels offers amenities that simply aren’t available with most pet-sitting services. Instead of missing you, your pet will enjoy the opportunity to meet other dogs. All Day Play is available at no extra charge for well-mannered, socialized dog boarding guests. Individual Play is also available for companions that prefer more specialized attention.
Customize your watercross kennel dog boarding experience with a day at the shower and a new hairdo. Or, request extra snuggling and a daily rub down for some additional love. Pet sitting meets the basic needs of your companion such as feeding and walking a few times a day. welcome. We are a full time oriented breeder and trainers of exceptional Labrador Retrievers. We offer a limited number of breedings each year drawn from exclusive bloodlines, some not previously available in North America. At watercross Labrador retrievers we have some of the top British, English and American bloodlines. Our Studs are Field Trial Champions , Field Trial Winners and Master Hunters.
Through careful breeding and selection we strive to maintain three gun dogs lines :
The Sporting Gun Dog : Hard charging dogs for the demanding sportsman and experienced dog handler
The Classic Gun Dog: Working dogs in the classic British tradition, calm and biddable, with outstanding game-finding and retrieving ability
The Occasional Gun Dog: Gentle and intelligent companion dogs that retain hunting instincts.
We work closely with our clients to select a breeding and a puppy best suited to their needs.
Using patience and sensitivity, we train and develop dogs that are eager to learn and who love their work.
We offer handler coaching, enabling our clients and their dogs to forge more effective and rewarding partnerships .
All of our dogs are : AKC DNA Certified; AKC Registered; EIC, PRA, and CNM clear; OFA Eye Certified; have a OFA Score rated either good or excellent, and/or a PennHip of 50% and higher.
